About

Marisa is an Italian shirt maker specializing in the design and fabrication of bespoke women's shirts and dresses.

Each garment is cut one-at-a-time (su misura). Her training started at an early age in her hometown of Vicenza, Italy. She learned to sew from her mother and then went on to become a sample maker for high-end designer brands as Armani, Valentino, Dior and Ferre'.

Her passion for the craft took her to Milan to study pattern making at the Secoli Fashion Institute. She then moved to Seattle to work for Pacific Trail and Tommy Bahama in their technical departments.

She later refined her skills even further by working as an assistant to an exclusive custom shirt maker and clothing designer, Renee Bassetti, which was an extraordinary experience where she was introduced to luxurious Italian fabrics. She also absorbed Renee's meticulous attention to detail and construction methods.
